Hello blog readers!
First of all, welcome to our blog! Second of all, given that you are here––and/or subscribed to us––we figure you probably are here to read about food. However, for this first post that will not be the case, this post will be alllll about Cassidy and Allyson, and maybe a little about the consequent birth of Foodie Roomies! Since this is not about food it will be very short and to the point! We also, do promise that all later posts will be focused on our favorite hobby and true love––food. (if you didn’t understand that from the whole having a blog entirely about food thing.)
So! Approximately one and a half years ago, we met at the College of Charleston’s summer orientation! We later found out that we would be living in the same dorm, on the same floor, as well as trying out for the same team. So obviously, quite a bit in common. But then, we discovered a mutual love of food and great friendship was born!! Since this discovery we have explored assorted Charleston eateries ranging from small cafes, to dessert bars, all the way to some rooftops, and with each and everyone we have become increasingly aware that Charleston does, in fact, have some of the best food in the country, if not the world (it is also sometimes a problem how many good restaurants there are here given that we are broke college students haha).
Eventually we decided we should start this little food blog, to chronicle all of the good eating that we do here in Charleston! We will spare you all the details of the very boring and pathetic meals we eat when especially broke, consisting of ramen and crackers. Instead, we will be bringing your our take on the finest restaurants––when the parents visit––as well as the places that are a bit more college budget friendly, along with plenty of iced coffees and desserts thrown in there for good measure. Anyway, that’s really it for now! We’ll be back soon with a post actually about food!
